How to play Chinese Checkers

1. Ten pegs each in a point of the star. Two, three, four or six can play; your target is the point opposite your own.
2. On your turn move one peg: either a single STEP to an empty neighbouring hole, or a HOP over an adjacent peg — anyone's — into the empty hole directly beyond, and keep hopping as long as you like in one move.
3. Tap a peg to see every hole it can reach, including the end of every chain of hops. Nothing is captured; pegs jumped over stay put.
4. The first player to fill the opposite point with their ten pegs wins. If somebody has parked a peg in your point, filling the other holes counts.

How many can play?

Two, three, four or six — the corners are chosen so every target corner is empty. Bots fill the rest.

Can I jump over my opponent's pegs?

Yes, and your own. A hop goes over any adjacent peg into the empty hole straight beyond, and you can chain hops in one move. Nothing is captured.

What if someone leaves a peg in my corner?

Fill the other nine holes and you win anyway — a parked peg cannot block the game for ever.

Do I need an account?
