How to play Klondike Solitaire

1. Seven piles across the table, one to seven cards each, the top card of each face up. The rest of the deck is the stock.
2. Build the four foundations up by suit from ace to king. Clear all fifty-two cards onto them and you win.
3. On the piles, cards go down in rank and alternate colour: a red six on a black seven. Tap a face-up card to pick it up — and every card below it in the run — then tap where it goes.
4. Only a king (or a run headed by one) may start an empty pile.
5. Tap the stock to turn cards onto the waste — one at a time, or three with Draw 3. Only the top of the waste can be played. When the stock runs out, tap it again to turn the waste over and go through it again, as often as you like.
6. Uncovering a face-down card turns it up. A card on a foundation may come back down to a pile when you need it.
7. Scoring: 10 for each card to a foundation, 5 for a card from the waste to a pile, 5 for every card turned face up. Once everything is face up, Auto finish plays the rest for you.
8. A deal you cannot finish is not a draw: give it up and deal again — Play Again keeps your seat and your draw setting.

Can I go through the stock more than once?

Yes, as many times as you like. When the stock is empty, tap it to turn the waste back over.

Is every deal winnable?

No — roughly four in five Draw 1 deals can be won with perfect play, and fewer with Draw 3. A deal that will not come out can be given up and dealt again.
